Mineshima Drill Bit 0.9 mm L10-09 is a single modeling drill bit of 0.9 mm diameter for hollowing out barrels, holes for wire grab handles and pilot holes for pins. It is held in a pin vise or a micro drill.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single drill bit of 0.9 mm diameter from the modeling range of the Japanese brand Mineshima. Nine tenths of a millimeter belongs among the diameters you need repeatedly while building, because most of the wires, pins and tubes you work with on a model fit into them. Because the L10 series is graded in tenths of a millimeter, you do not have to settle for the nearest size in a set and can buy exactly the one that fits.
Plastic is drilled lightly and without force, because the heat from fast drilling melts the plastic rather than removing it. Mark the spot with a point in advance, so that the bit does not slip on a curved surface. When the hole has to be exactly in the center of a tube or a barrel, start with a thinner bit and take the diameter up only in a second step, because a larger bit will stay in a small centered hole. A burr around the hole can be removed by turning a larger bit in your fingers or with a careful pull of a scalpel.
For builders of aircraft, military equipment, cars and figures who finish their models with wire, tubes and accessories with pins. You need a pin vise or a micro drill with a matching collet to go with the bit.
