DUAL EXO SCENERY SET 23 – 23A LIGHT BRICK & 23B DARK BRICK

Dual Exo Scenery Set 23, 23A Light Brick and 23B Dark Brick

A set of acrylic paints from the Dual Exo Scenery range by AK Interactive. It contains both shades named in the title, that is the lighter Light Brick and the darker Dark Brick. The shades of this range are semi-gloss, that is with a satin surface between matte and gloss. Check the exact shade, the covering power, the volume and the number of bottles on the packaging.

Use

• A light and a dark tone of one subject are commonly used together: the darker one as the base, the lighter one to lift and pick out edges
• Acrylic is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush, always in several thin coats rather than one heavy one
• Before painting it pays to degrease the surface and let it dry, so that the paint holds
• A semi-gloss surface is a good compromise: it does not shine like gloss, but neither does it catch dirt as much as a deep matte, and it takes further work on top
• A gloss varnish is commonly applied under decals, and once finished the surface is unified with a varnish of the chosen sheen

Who the set is for

For builders of dioramas, scenery and model buildings who want the light and dark version of one subject together. It will also serve modelers of military subjects who need to paint the surrounding scene, not just the machine itself.

Thinner, brushes and varnish are not included. For the thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's information on the packaging. Work in a ventilated space, use respiratory protection when spraying and keep the paints out of the reach of children.
