A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks intended for the kit of the A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from Great Wall Hobby. It is not a model and not a kit; it is an accessory that takes the place of laboriously cutting masks from tape and decides how cleanly the cockpit frames will look. The word double-sided means that masks are prepared for the outer as well as the inner side of the glazing: the inner masks let you spray the frames in the interior color so that the cockpit looks right seen from inside too, and at the same time they protect the clear part from the inside while the cockpit is sprayed. The words fit express refer to quick application, as the masks are cut exactly to the shape of the parts of a particular kit, so measuring and cutting by hand are no longer needed and masking is a matter of a few minutes.

Use

• Degrease the clear parts before masking and let them dry completely, as a mask will not hold on a greasy surface and paint will bleed under it.
• Separate the individual masks with tweezers or a pointed scalpel, stick them in place and press them down with a toothpick, above all along the edges and in the corners.
• Spray the frames in the cockpit interior color first and only then the top camouflage, as the transition then looks realistic.
• Spray several thin coats; a thick wet coat likes to soak under the edge of a mask.
• Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried, while the finish has not gone brittle, and the edges will stay sharp.
