This set is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory for a plastic model. It contains the pre-colored seat belts of the pilot's seat, made with the Space technology, that is a combination of steel photo-etch and color printing. The belts are fully colored and go on without any airbrushing or brush painting. The set is intended for the Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 model from the Revell kit in 1:32 scale.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British operational jet fighter and the only Allied jet deployed during the Second World War. The F.8 version was a twin-engine day fighter powered by Rolls-Royce Derwent engines, while the FR.9 served as the reconnaissance variant with cameras in the nose. The Meteor formed the backbone of British fighter aviation at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s.
Steel belts are more pliable than brass ones and hold a realistic sag better. Carefully remove the parts from the fret, shape them slightly and glue them into the cockpit with cyanoacrylate or with a photo-etch glue. The result noticeably brings the interior of the model to life.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
