Decals with orange ADR plates in 1:35 scale, Type 2 version. An accessory for models of trucks and tankers and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vehicle carrying a dangerous load has to be marked on the outside with an orange plate in a black frame. It is usually at the front and the rear, and on tankers also along the sides of the tank, so that it is clear from a distance what any response would be dealing with. The upper number describes the nature of the hazard, the lower four-digit number the substance itself. You will also come across a plate with no numbers, used where the figures are not given. On a model it is a detail the size of a fingernail, yet it gives the vehicle the character of one in service.
A printed sheet in 1:35 scale with plates in the version the manufacturer designates as Type 2. How many elements the sheet holds and which combinations of numbers are on them is given in the enclosed instructions. The scale matches the usual kits of military and civilian vehicles, so the set suits tanker trucks, semi-trailer tractors and scenes at a depot or a filling station.
Cut the motif out as close to the print as you can so that no glossy rim is left around the plate. The surface should be smooth, dry and free of grease. Before you apply it, check the instructions to see whether it is a water-slide decal or a self-adhesive element, because each goes on differently. The plate belongs on a flat surface, not across an edge or over a door rim; once settled, let it dry undisturbed, then seal it with clear coat and dust it lightly so that it does not shine like new on a dusty vehicle.
For modelers who build present-day trucks in large scale and take them all the way into the detail. The package holds decals. The vehicle model, paints, clear coat and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
