A Madworks triangular scraper for deburring parts and cleaning panel lines. Three sharp edges on one blade; the package holds the blade without a handle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A blade with a triangular cross section, that is with three sharp edges, which does not cut into the material like a knife but pulls a thin shaving off it. For a modeler it is the cleanest way to make the mark of a gate or of a mold parting line disappear: the edge of the scraper runs across the surface and takes only the raised material, whereas a sanding sponge would round off and dull the area around it. The second typical use is cleaning panel lines, where the edge passes along the groove and picks out the remains of paint or putty from it. The package holds the blade alone, with the handle bought separately.
For modelers who want a surface left smooth and glossy after gluing and sanding, that is chiefly for cars, motorcycles and glossy canopies, where every dulled patch left by a sponge stands out under lacquer. It also suits clearing a scribed line before a paneliner is applied.
Pull the edge toward you at a shallow angle and without pressure; a scraper works by sharpness, not by force. Tools of this type are not intended for metal. Store the blade dry and away from other metal tools. The edges are sharp along their whole length, so keep the blade out of the reach of children and never pull it toward the hand that is holding the part.
