Fruit trees 13 cm (3 pcs)

HEKI Fruit Trees 13 cm, 3 pcs

Three finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, thirteen centimeters tall. You can recognize fruit species by the shorter trunk and the broad, low-set crown that regular pruning gives them. Thirteen centimeters already matches a mature tree in an old orchard or in a garden by a farm building, where the previous generation planted it, so on a model it reads differently from young trees in a newly established orchard.

Use

• old orchards and gardens by farm buildings
• a mature fruit tree in a yard or on a village green
• rows of trees along field lanes
• greenery by farm buildings and barns
• adding older trees to a young orchard

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. In an old orchard keep the spacing regular but the grass between the trees taller and unmown, as that is how an old orchard is told from a new one. Spread the flattened crown carefully with your fingers after unpacking and leave it spreading. Add grass under the trees and perhaps a few fallen fruits suggested with fine granulate.

Who the set is for

For builders of rural layouts and dioramas and for modelers fine-tuning orchards and the surroundings of buildings. The three can be supplemented with smaller fruit trees of the same brand, and the orchard then looks as though it came into being gradually. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
