Litter Material Flower, Colour-Meadow Light

Scatter material for a flowering meadow, light shade

A fine scatter material from Heki intended for finishing off a flowering meadow. It carries a designation for a light meadow shade and is used to fill out grass rather than to replace it. It suits dioramas and layouts alike, and it is not tied to a single size by scale.

What it creates on a scene

A uniform green area looks like a carpet. A real meadow has its color spread in small clusters, and that is exactly what this material supplies: it is applied a little at a time over finished grass growth and lets the blades show through. The best effect comes when it is sprinkled irregularly and left out altogether in places, so that islands form.

How it is applied

• Coat the area with scenic glue or with white glue thinned with water and a drop of dish soap.
• Sprinkle the material from a height of a few centimeters, so that it lands unevenly.
• Once dry, tap the excess off or vacuum it carefully through a stocking pulled over the nozzle.
• Fix the finished area with thinned glue applied from a spray bottle.
• Try the color on an offcut first; on a green surface it reads differently from a brown one.

Who the material is for

For builders of dioramas and layouts who want their grassy areas lively and colorful. Working with it is clean and undemanding, and the result depends mainly on how irregularly you throw the material about. The exact weight of the package and the shade are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.

The package holds scatter material only. The glue, the surface and other scenic accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
