Static grass in a light green shade, fiber length 4.5 mm, a 50 g package. The fine fibers are sprinkled into fresh glue and an electrostatic charge stands them upright as they land. The growth then casts a shadow of its own and the area stops reading as flat scatter.
Light green suits places the sun reaches and young growth. Mixed with darker shades it also breaks up a uniform area, so a meadow does not look like a carpet. A length of 4.5 mm no longer corresponds to a mown lawn but to taller growth: in 1:35 scale that is grass roughly 16 cm tall, in 1:87 scale approximately 39 cm. It therefore comes into its own on an unmown meadow, on a road shoulder, on an embankment, on a field margin and anywhere the grass is to swallow a machine or a figure up to the knees.
Coat the area with glue for static grass or with thinned PVA glue and stick the grounding pin of the applicator into it. Pour the fibers into the mesh and let them fall from a few centimeters. Once dry, tap the area out or vacuum it carefully and return the fibers that have not stuck to the bag. A longer fiber will take more layers: a second dose applied over only parts of the area will give the growth the uneven height a real meadow has.
For builders of dioramas, layouts, gaming boards and figure bases who are after taller growth. The package holds the fibers alone; the glue, an applicator and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
