Static grass with a fiber length of 2 to 3 mm in a moorland growth shade, a 20 g package. It is applied electrostatically into glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
Static grass named after moorland growth, fiber length 2 to 3 mm, a 20 g package. The fine fibers are sprinkled into a layer of fresh glue and an electrostatic charge stands them up square as they land, so that the grass stands and casts a shadow of its own.
Moorland is the landscape of poor soil: low, subdued and uneven growth without the saturated green of mown meadows. This shade therefore fits peat bogs, the edges of wetlands, Nordic and mountain landscape, barren plains and neglected areas around abandoned buildings. A length of 2 to 3 mm corresponds to low growth: in 1:35 scale to grass roughly 7 to 10 cm tall, in 1:87 scale to approximately 17 to 26 cm. As a base layer it takes filling out with longer fibers into tufts well.
Coat the area with glue for static grass or with thinned PVA glue and stick the grounding pin of the applicator into it. Pour the fibers into the mesh and let them fall from a height of a few centimeters. Once dry, tap the area out or vacuum it carefully; the fibers that have not stuck can be used again. Moorland has no continuous carpet, so apply the grass unevenly and leave bare places between the growth with sand, small stones or dark soil.
For builders of dioramas, layouts, gaming boards and figure bases who are building the harsh landscape of poor soil. The package holds the fibers alone; the glue, an applicator and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
