Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing 737-800 is a narrow-body twin-engined airliner, one of the most widespread machines on short and medium routes. That is exactly why it is a rewarding subject: in the colors of the most varied carriers a whole series of machines can be built that differ from one another only in their finish. And where the finish decides the result, cleanly masked frames to the glazing count double.
Masks for painting, cut to suit the kit of the Boeing 737-800 from the Zvezda company, kit number 7019, in 1:144 scale. They cover the areas that are to stay free of paint and save time and frustration when taping small shapes up. Compare the extent of the set and the placement of the individual parts with the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the surface before sticking them on. Lay the mask onto a finished base before spraying, press the edges down with a toothpick or the blunt tip of tweezers, and only then reach for the airbrush. Apply the paint in several thin layers; a thick coat leaves a ridge at the edge of the mask. Take the mask off while the paint is fresh. In such a small scale a sharp edge is decisive: the frames of the windows measure only tenths of a millimeter and a blurred transition is more visible on a finished model than on a large one.
For modelers of airliners in 1:144 scale who want the glazing and its surroundings clean without laborious taping. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
