A figure of a Ukrainian soldier in 1:35 scale on the theme of anti-tank fighting in 2022.
Responsibility details are not available.
The year 2022 brought the image of an infantryman standing up to armored equipment with a portable anti-tank weapon. It is exactly this motif that the set under the designation tank hunter carries. The kit of Ukrainian units of that time combines a field uniform with present-day plate carriers, tactical helmets and accessories from various sources, so in terms of color it is a rewarding figure with plenty of room for shades of green, brown and gray.
The package contains one figure in 1:35 scale, which is supplied unpainted. Before building it is advisable to look the parts over, clean up the seating surfaces and try dry how the individual parts fit together and how the figure will stand on its base.
With a single figure the result is decided by the face and the silhouette. It pays to paint the head separately and to fit it only onto a finished body. The intricate pattern of a field uniform is easier to build from a lighter base with the patches painted in with a thin brush; too hard a contrast looks unnatural in 1:35 scale and a final weak glaze will knock it back. The kit and the straps come out after a light dry brush, and the knees and boots will take fine weathering with dust.
The figure suits a modern diorama, a model of an armored vehicle and a piece of work in its own right on painting a figure alike. The package contains only the figure. The model of the vehicle, paints, glue and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
