The Bell AH-1 Cobra was the first production helicopter designed from the start as an attack machine. The narrow fuselage carries the crew in tandem, with the gunner sitting in front and the pilot behind and higher. The twin-engine AH-1T and AH-1W versions served with the United States Marine Corps. The glazing of the cabin consists of flat panes in angular frames, so the sharp transition between frame and glass is visible on a model at once.
The package consists of pre-cut masking parts for the glazed areas of a model in 1:72 scale. Each part corresponds in shape to one panel, so it sits into the frame without trimming and the frame comes out equally wide around its whole perimeter. The cuts are adapted to the Italeri kit, and on a model of another brand the parts may fit only partly.
The set is intended for modelers who want the frames of the glazing regular and without paint run under them, and it will save time for anyone who builds several machines of the Cobra family. The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
