0,3 mm Complete Needle+ Nozzle / Needle Cap Set (for Innovator, Profinish & Easyair)

What the set contains

Spare parts from Vallejo for an airbrush: a complete needle, nozzle and needle cap in the 0.3 mm size. The set is intended for airbrushes from the Innovator, Profinish and Easyair ranges, that is for devices of the same brand. With another device the dimensions have to be checked, as needles and nozzles are not interchangeable between brands.

What the 0.3 mm size is for

A nozzle of three tenths of a millimeter is the most versatile choice. It handles an opaque coat over the whole surface of a model as well as a substantial part of the shading and soft transitions. Smaller sizes are used for very fine artwork and larger ones for a thick primer or filler, but for ordinary modeling work this one is enough.

When to replace the parts

• A bent needle tip, even a barely perceptible one, shows in a spray that pulls to one side or spatters.
• A damaged nozzle lets air through and the paint then pulses or drips.
• The needle cap protects the tip against knocks; a cracked one is worth replacing at once.

Tips for replacement and maintenance

Before fitting, let the solvent evaporate out of the device and wipe the seating surfaces. Tighten the nozzle gently; overtightening damages it and creates a leak. Insert the needle slowly from the rear until it seats lightly in the nozzle, and only then tighten the collet, or you will bend the tip yourself.
