Aoshima 1:12 Honda Z50J Gorilla '78 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the cult Japanese minibike.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Honda Z50J Gorilla minibike as it was in 1978, in 1:12 scale, from Aoshima in The Bike model line. The set reproduces the period factory specification of the Gorilla. For a more faithful look it uses vinyl tubing for the cable and wiring runs and rubber tires with a realistic tread pattern.
The Honda Gorilla is derived from the legendary Monkey minibike, from which it differs among other things in its boxier, larger-capacity tank and in accessories for longer rides. This small, foldable and easily handled machine gained cult status and was built in various forms over many decades.
Cut the small parts away carefully and clean off the molding flash. Spray the frame and the tank with an airbrush over primer, and glue the chrome items with super glue. Hold the cables made from vinyl tubing in place until the glue has dried.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
