The Ilyushin Il-62M in 1:144 scale from ICM is a plastic kit of the Soviet long-haul airliner with four engines at the rear of the fuselage.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM captures the Soviet Il-62M long-haul airliner in 1:144 scale. The set contains finely rendered plastic and clear parts, a detailed landing gear and a decal sheet. The finished model reaches a length of about 368 mm, so it makes a large and eye-catching display piece.
The Il-62 was the first Soviet long-haul jet airliner with enough range for intercontinental routes. Its hallmarks are four engines mounted in pairs on the sides of the rear fuselage and a high-set tailplane. The M version brought more powerful engines and further improvements, thanks to which the aircraft served for many years on prestigious long-haul routes.
Take care to line the long fuselage up properly and to sand the seams down invisibly, above all around the engine nacelles. Use thin cement on the plastic. The large white areas call for a good base coat and even passes; apply the decals over a smooth gloss surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
