A plastic kit of the Soviet Kh-22 (AS-4) anti-ship missile in 1:144 scale from Mikromir. A stand-alone model of a large long-range missile for a display case or a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a stand-alone injection-molded plastic kit, not a resin upgrade set. The model captures the Soviet Kh-22 heavy long-range anti-ship missile, NATO code AS-4, in 1:144 scale. The package tends to come with a transport trolley, so the result serves well both as a display exhibit in its own right and as an accessory in an aviation or naval scene. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Mikromir.
The Kh-22 was a massive missile developed for use against large surface targets, above all carrier battle groups. Long-range bombers in particular carried it and it could be fitted with various types of warhead. Its large dimensions make it a conspicuous and impressive object even in a small scale.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a knife and join them with cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; the smooth surfaces of the missile will appreciate a glossier varnish and careful masking, and the metal and heat-stressed areas can be picked out with metallic shades and a light wash. The transport trolley offers room for weathering and for making up a small scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
