An injection-molded plastic kit of the Panavia Tornado IDS/GR.1 combat aircraft in the small 1:144 scale. The model has a well worked-out variable-geometry wing mechanism, a detailed cockpit and finely engraved panel lines. The decals offer two versions, a German one and a Royal Air Force one, and parts specific to the RAF are included. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Panavia Tornado is a multi-role combat aircraft developed by an international consortium of Germany, Great Britain and Italy. The IDS version (Interdictor/Strike), designated GR.1 in British service, is intended for strike and interdiction missions in any weather. Its characteristic feature is the variable-geometry wing for flight at both high and low speeds.
Bond the plastic with thin cement for plastic; in this small scale, take care over clean fuselage joints and glazing. Apply a primer before painting, spray the shades with an airbrush and settle the decals on a gloss clear coat to avoid silvering. Plan ahead for the moving wings when painting and masking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
