It represents the ruin of a German house, broken masonry that serves as the dominant backdrop of large-format dioramas and display cases. The designation No.1 sets this version apart from the other ruins in the range. It is not a model of a vehicle or a complete building but a diorama section.
Ruined houses are an iconic backdrop for scenes of the Second World War. Damaged walls with exposed brick, render and rubble give a scene drama and a story; the large 1:16 scale makes it possible to show the texture of the material in detail.
Wash the casting free of mold release agent and apply a primer before painting; glue the parts together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Masonry suits work in layers: a base of render, brick showing through, a wash into the joints, dry-brushing on the edges and pigments for dust and rubble. It is worth adding rubble, timber and vegetation.
The section is supplied as an unpainted resin casting. Paints, figures and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
