The set brings replacement main landing gear wheels for models of the Curtiss P-40N Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory replacing the wheels from the base kit. The parts are made by 3D printing with a sharp surface and a faithful cross (chevron) tread pattern. The package usually also contains painting masks for accurate painting of the hubs.
The cross tread pattern represents another of the tire types used on the P-40N. Thanks to the fine relief the wheels look more realistic than injected plastic and let you bring a model closer to a particular subject from period photographs.
Wash the parts to remove print resin residue, separate them from the print supports and sand them with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Mask the hubs with the masks included and finish the tire in matte dark gray with a light dusting of weathering pigments.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
