This set from Quickboost changes the exhaust stubs of the Embraer EMB-314 Super Tucano turboprop attack aircraft. It is a workshop accessory for building a part-finished model – you will not find the aircraft itself in the package, what you get is a replacement for one particular assembly.
The Super Tucano was created in Brazil as a trainer and counter-insurgency machine with an armored cockpit, ejection seats and underwing pylons. It has been in production since the beginning of the century and serves, besides the Brazilian Air Force, in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, where its endurance and its ability to operate from short unpaved strips are valued. The hot gases of the turboprop unit exit to the sides just behind the cowling and leave a pronounced trail on the skin.
Leave the openings dark – dark steel or a graphite shade lightened along the edges with a dry brush looks best. Only then comes the touch of rust and the fine sooty staining that runs backward along the side of the fuselage. That streak is what shows most on a finished model, so it pays to apply it heavily thinned and in layers.
The package contains neither paints nor glue.
