An MP 40 submachine gun with the stock folded in 1:16 is a single piece of a weapon printed by 3D technology, intended for large figures one hundred and twenty millimeters tall.
Responsibility details are not available.
The weapon is printed in resin by 3D technology and is supplied as a single piece. The version matches the state in which the wire stock is folded under the barrel section, that is the way the submachine gun was carried on a sling, stowed in a fighting vehicle or laid down beside the crew. The 1:16 size corresponds to figures one hundred and twenty millimeters tall.
The MP 40 was a German submachine gun for a 9 mm cartridge that during the Second World War went to squad leaders, paratroopers and the crews of armored vehicles. Against older designs it relied on pressed sheet metal and a plastic lower part, so it could be made quickly and at low cost. Its characteristic features are precisely the folding metal stock and the vertically fitted magazine, which was often mistakenly grasped as a handle, although it was not meant for that.
Once it is out of the box, the remains of the print supports are removed and the cut facets are sanded with fine paper. A primer follows, and only on that does the paint hold. The metal surfaces come out well in a dark steel color with a hint of highlights on the edges; the lower part of the weapon tended to be a dark brown-black. The sling can be added from a strip of paper or thin foil.
A version of the same weapon with the stock extended is also available, so it can be chosen to suit the intended pose of a figure.
