T-34 tracks with the V pattern, 500 mm wide on the real subject, in 1:16 scale from PANZER ART. A resin accessory for a large-scale model of the Soviet tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of tracks in resin for models of the Soviet T-34 medium tank in 1:16 scale, this time in the form with a pattern shaped like the letter V. It is an accessory, not a tank kit. The difference against the other track forms is not cosmetic: the pattern on the contact surface of the T-34 changed according to the production form, so by choosing the type of track you affect how exactly the model matches a particular machine.
The wide track was one of the strengths of the T-34: it kept the ground pressure low and helped the tank in mud and snow. The links were produced in several forms, among which both the waffle relief and a pattern arranged into a V shape are distinguished. The difference is connected with the production technology and with the period of manufacture, which is why the form of the track is taken as one of the clues in identifying a particular machine, alongside the shape of the turret, the wheels and the exhausts.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, rid them of the casting blocks and level the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). When painting it pays not to rely on one color: the base is a dark brown-black shade, into which shades of rust and dust are added in layers. Let the pattern on the contact surface come out with fine dry brushing, while the surfaces the road wheels roll over are finished with graphite or a metallic pigment into a glossier metal look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
