A kit of the modern SUV Hyundai Santa Fe MX5 in 1:24 scale from Academy. The parts are pre-colored, so the model can be finished even without spraying.

A car kit from a mold released in 2025. What makes it special is the system of pre-colored parts: the sprues arrive already in color, so the builder does not have to reach for an airbrush and the model gets a coherent look right after it is glued together. The body has working rear doors, which makes sense on a car with a roomy luggage compartment.
The fifth generation Santa Fe, carried under the internal designation MX5, meant a sharp turn in shape language for Hyundai. The rounded family car was replaced by an angular silhouette with long vertical lights, a wide rear opening and a deliberately off-road expression. Inside there is more room, and the range includes a hybrid drivetrain as well. The car aims at families who want seven-seat space without having to buy a van.
Even with pre-colored parts it pays to deburr the sprue gates and touch up the places left behind, because bare plastic stands out against a colored surface. Anyone who wants a different shade should sand the body down and prime it first, otherwise the new layer will adhere poorly. Mask the glazing so that no paint gets into it, and pick out the gaps between the panels with a thin glaze.
The model arrives in parts on sprues. Get glue and paints separately; they are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
