This injection-molded plastic kit from the Italian brand Italeri in 1:24 scale captures the modern European long-haul tractor unit MAN TGX 18.500 XXL in the Lion Pro Edition trim. Compared with the base version, the edition contains new parts and a complete decal sheet with the lion's head motifs that decorate the interior as well as the outside of the truck. The package contains plastic parts, rubber tires, waterslide decals and instructions. The richly detailed kit lets you build the chassis, the engine and the roomy cab in detail.
The MAN TGX is the flagship range of long-haul tractor units from the German marque MAN. The 18.500 version with the roomy XXL cab is intended for long-distance road haulage, where the driver spends long hours on the road. According to the manufacturer the real vehicle is powered by a six-cylinder D38 diesel engine with high output and torque; the aerodynamic profile reduces fuel consumption and the large cab offers the maximum of comfort on long runs.
Use thin cement on the plastic. Spray the body and the spoiler with an airbrush over a primer and bring them up with a gloss coat, so that the typical shine of a tractor unit comes out. Apply the chrome parts and the lion's head decals only onto finished paint; color and fit the cab interior and the engine before you close them up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
