Injection-molded plastic kit of the Porsche 934 Turbo RSR circuit racer in the colors of its sponsor Vaillant, in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The box contains plastic parts, rubber tires, a decal sheet for the livery and photo-etched parts (grilles, pedals, intakes and other fine details). The kit is intended to be glued and painted.
The Porsche 934 was created on the basis of the road-going Porsche 930 Turbo for international Group 4 racing in 1976. The car was powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder engine and 31 racing examples were built. The car of the main sponsor, the German company Vaillant, with its eye-catching cobalt green livery, ran in the German DRM championship; Bob Wollek sat behind the wheel with race number 5. The model faithfully captures the racing character of the car, including the roll cage and the modified interior.
The body is best painted with an airbrush after a primer has been applied, so that the deep color of the livery stands out. Attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The colorful sponsor decals settle best on a gloss coat, and a decal softener helps them sink perfectly into the recesses. Glue the glazing and the headlights with a cement for clear parts so that they do not fog.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
