A 3D printed detail set in 1:24 scale from the Decalcas brand. It is neither a model nor a kit — it is an accessory for the interior. The manufacturer states two triangular nets and mounting parts: one for the window on the driver's side and the other for the central part of the cockpit. It does not name a particular target kit, and describes the set as intended among other things for GT cars.
A safety net at the window keeps the driver's arms inside the cockpit and holds back debris; the second partition divides the cockpit space. On a model it is one of those parts that give a racing car away at once, and at the same time one of the hardest to reproduce — fabric in 1:24 scale comes out unrealistically coarse if an ordinary textile is used. The manufacturer therefore makes the net from a fully flexible material that imitates the structure of mesh, and describes the mounting parts as adaptable to any model.
According to the manufacturer the net can be painted with any acrylic paint and the shade is to stay saturated even after repeated folding and handling. So paint it before fitting, thinned and in thin coats, so that the openings do not fill in. Fit the net only after the interior is finished, ideally around the seat and the roll cage, and glue it in spots with cyanoacrylate glue.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
