A set of turned metal barrels, Supermarine Spitfire – the B wing, Hispano 20 mm cannons in aerodynamic fairings, in 1:24 scale from MASTER. It refines the armament of large Spitfire models.

The set contains turned metal barrels for the Hispano cannons of 20 mm caliber together with their aerodynamic fairings for the B type wing of a Supermarine Spitfire model in 1:24 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic barrels from the box and give the armament a sharp, faithful look. The manufacturer is the Polish brand MASTER.
The B type wing combined one Hispano cannon of 20 mm caliber and two machine guns of 0.303 inch caliber in each wing half. The cannon with its drum magazine called for a characteristic raised fairing on the upper surface of the wing, and the end of the barrel projected beyond the leading edge. This arrangement appeared on Spitfires during the Battle of Britain and after it.
Cut off the plastic barrels and fairings and clean up the seating faces. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate. Once degreased, apply a primer for metal; in the large 1:24 scale the accurate geometry and the muzzles of the cannons stand out.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
