A set of precisely rendered resin AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles (4 pcs) from Reskit in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic missiles from the box kit with a more faithful copy with sharp edges and fine surface detail.
The AIM-9X Sidewinder is the latest generation of the American short-range infrared missile. It has an imaging IR seeker (a focal plane array), thrust vectoring and a high off-boresight capability. It is carried by the F-15, F-16 and F/A-18 fighters.
This is a 3D-printed resin set for experienced modelers. First wash the parts to remove any print resin residue, cut off the print supports and sand the areas smooth; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; the missiles are sprayed with an airbrush and completed with the color markings of the particular service.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
