A 3D-printed AN/ALQ-119 jamming pod in the long version, 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit is an external accessory for models of tactical aircraft, not a kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for an aircraft model, not a kit. According to the name the set is made by 3D printing and represents the AN/ALQ-119 electronic warfare pod in the long version. It hangs under the wing or on a fuselage pylon of a model in 1:32 scale and adds equipment that a kit in a box usually does not contain.
The AN/ALQ-119 is an American jamming pod intended to disrupt the working of the radars of an air defense system. In US Air Force service it appeared on tactical aircraft, among them the F-4 Phantom II, the F-16 and the A-10. It was made in several length versions, which differed in their internal equipment and with it in the length of the body; this set represents the longest variant. That is exactly why you should choose according to the particular machine and period you are building.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm water with a drop of detergent and check that no remains of the supports are left on them; cut those off with a cutter and gently sand the traces away. Very fine abrasive paper and a coat of primer will smooth the fine layering of the surface. It is bonded with super glue. Paint the pod according to the machine it will hang on — usually it is close to the shade of the aircraft's lower surfaces. A fine wash will bring out the panel breaks, the cooling intakes and the small antennas.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
