This set brings 3D-printed colored details of the cockpit interior of the Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk attack aircraft. It is neither a model nor parts of one, but a first-rate detailing accessory on a decal film that joins easy application to genuine three-dimensional depth: recessed dials, a raised instrument panel, small levers, buttons and warning lights. A gloss layer with a glass effect covers the dials. The set is prepared for a matching plastic F-117A model in the large 1:32 scale. The target kit is the Trumpeter one.
The Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk was the first production combat aircraft designed with the emphasis on low radar detectability. Its characteristic faceted structure and black finish made it an icon; it was used for precise strikes on key targets at night.
In the large 1:32 scale the details come into their own most. Separate the elements, dip them briefly in lukewarm water and slide them off the backing paper onto gloss varnish; do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, and press them down with a soft brush. Do not go over the gloss dials with a matte varnish, so that they keep the glass effect.
This is a separate cockpit detailing accessory. The plastic model and the paints are not included in the package.
