Color three-dimensional interior elements of the F-5F in 1:32 scale from Quinta Studio. The elements are dipped briefly in lukewarm water and need no softener.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-5F is the two-seat version of the F-5E Tiger II light fighter. The seats are arranged in tandem under a lengthened canopy, so on a model the view opens into two cockpits at once. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is large enough for every detail skimped on to show.
The set brings color three-dimensional interior elements: the instrument panels, the side panels and other areas of the cockpit. The elements are printed on a carrier decal paper, from which they slide into place after a brief dip. The exact extent and placement are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The elements are applied like a decal, but a softener does not belong with them. Paint the areas underneath them beforehand, let them dry perfectly, degrease them and coat them with a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, because the elements have no adhesive layer of their own. Leave the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds, slide it off the backing paper into place and press it down with a cotton bud from the center toward the edges; on a complex shape a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps.
The set is for modelers who want both cockpits legible and colorful but do not want to paint dozens of dials and switches by hand. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
