The crew of a German tank in a combat situation, 1:32 scale - 1:32 German WWII Tank Crew in combat. Plastic figures from MARS Model, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
Crew figures are among the most useful additions to a display case of vehicles: it is only they that give a model its scale and its story. This set from the Ukrainian brand MARS Model is devoted to German tank men caught in a combat situation. The execution is plastic, the scale 1:32, the paint none.
A German tank crew usually had five members with firmly divided tasks - the commander in the turret, the gunner, the loader, the driver and the radio operator in the front part of the hull. Its hallmark was a short double-breasted jacket and narrow trousers, a cut designed so that the crew would not catch on the interior fittings of the vehicle. A soft cap was worn with it, on the commander often with a headset. In combat the crew moved between the turret and cover, so figures with this subject will bring even a static model of a standing vehicle to life.
Before painting, dry fit the figures in the turret and in the open hatch, so that the elbows and shoulders really sit down. Wash the castings and clean up the seams. Test the joint on a sprue offcut; with figure plastic super glue usually holds better than polystyrene cement. Do not paint the black or dark gray clothing with flat black - brighten the edges several tones higher, otherwise the detail will be lost. Finish the faces last; they draw attention first.
The crew is sold without paint; the finishing rests entirely with the modeler.
