Matra Durandal (BLU-107) bombs is a 3D-printed resin set of four anti-runway bombs in 1:32 scale for arming models of combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detailed accessory set from the Ukrainian maker ResKit holds four 3D-printed resin Matra Durandal bombs, designated BLU-107 in American service. It is not an aircraft model but ordnance that you hang under the wings or the fuselage of the aircraft you are building. The fine printing reproduces the shape of the body and the tail section faithfully.
The Durandal is a French anti-runway bomb developed to destroy concrete runways. After release a parachute slows it down, a rocket motor accelerates it into the surface and the charge penetrates beneath the runway, where it causes extensive heaving and break-up of the concrete. A number of types carried the weapon, among them NATO tactical fighter-bombers.
Separate the bombs from the print supports, wash off the print resin residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend spraying primer, then the shade of the body, and finally bringing out the panel lines and the fins. The set serves well for a realistic load of ordnance on the pylons.
This is a supplementary ordnance set, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the aircraft are not included in the package.
