Revell 1:32 Mercedes-Benz SSKL is a plastic kit of the legendary racing car of the early 1930s, the last member of the famous S series.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:32 scale brings one of the most successful racing cars of its day within reach. The box contains a multi-part body with a fine surface texture, faithful wire wheels and period-styled decals. The model is glued and painted, and the parts are molded in plastic.
The SSKL designation comes from the German Super-Sport-Kurz-Leicht and marks the final, lightened stage of development of the S series. The car was powered by an inline engine of roughly 7.1 liters with an output of about 300 horsepower. In 1931 Rudolf Caracciola drove it to victory as the first non-Italian driver in the demanding Mille Miglia long-distance race. The model faithfully captures the long hood, the exposed wheel and the characteristic wire wheels.
Glue the body with liquid cement for plastic and treat it with primer before painting. On a classic racing car, polished metal surfaces and cleanly applied decals show to advantage; it is best to paint the fine spokes of the wheels before the wheel is assembled.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
