The Aber 1:32 set of 2 turned barrels for the Japanese 13.2 mm Type 3 aircraft machine gun is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels on a model with an accurately shaped brass part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal detail accessory from the Polish firm Aber, not an aircraft model. The package contains two turned brass barrels of the Japanese 13.2 mm Type 3 aircraft machine gun in 1:32 scale, with a separate end section and cooling jacket. A metal barrel replaces the plastic one and gives the weapon fine, symmetrical detail with no parting seams.
The 13.2 mm Type 3 machine gun was derived from the American Browning M2 adapted to the Hotchkiss round, and the Japanese used it to strengthen the armament of their late fighters. It was used above all on the later versions of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, so the set suits the completion of Japanese naval fighters of the end of the war.
Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the part and glue the metal barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base coat of primer, so that it holds the shade well. The metal parts can also be soldered if need be.
This is an add-on accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
