MH Models Yak-3 vacuum-formed canopy 1:32 (closed)

A clear accessory for plastic models of the Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-3 in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement vacuum-formed (vacuform) canopy in the closed position. Vacuum forming allows thinner and clearer glazing than an ordinary injection-molded part offers, so the canopy looks more realistic. A mask for easy painting of the frames is usually included.

Use

• carefully cut the formed part out around its edge and sand the edges down to the final shape
• glue it with super glue or with glue for clear parts, which does not fog transparent surfaces
• paint the frames with the help of the enclosed mask for clean edges
• the variant in the closed position suits a model with a closed cockpit
