The Aires 1:72 A-7E Corsair II cockpit set (early version) is a resin aftermarket accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the cockpit of a kit of this American carrier attack aircraft with a fine three-dimensional casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a model in its own right. It replaces the original cockpit of an A-7E Corsair II plastic kit with a one-piece resin casting carrying crisp detail on the tub, the seat, the side panels and the instrument panel. The set matches the early fit of the cockpit of this version and is meant for experienced modelers.
The Vought A-7E Corsair II was an American subsonic carrier attack aircraft with good range and a large armament load. It served with the Navy as a precise strike machine from the Vietnam era until the arrival of a new generation of multirole aircraft. The early cockpit matches the earlier arrangement of instruments and avionics on this version.
This is a resin casting for advanced builders. First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); dry-fit the surfaces before you fix them. It pays to paint the cockpit and bring it up before the fuselage is closed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
