Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian Breda 37/54 anti-aircraft gun of 37 mm caliber in 1:35 scale from IBG Models. It is not a vehicle but a gun on its own, with its mounting and crew fittings. According to the manufacturer the box usually also contains a turned metal gun barrel as an alternative to the plastic one, a decal sheet and ammunition parts; check the exact contents against the instructions in the box.
The Breda 37/54 was an Italian automatic anti-aircraft gun of 37 mm caliber used during the Second World War. It served to defend against low-flying aircraft and was employed by ground units as well as in coastal and shipboard air defense. The gun was fitted on various mountings and pedestals; the clip-fed ammunition and the open construction, which reveals the mechanism and the crew seats well, are characteristic.
The open construction of the gun puts the emphasis on clean joints and on the fine parts, so work with a sharp knife and a fine file and do not rush the small levers and sights. If the box contains a metal gun barrel, use it; it has a crisper muzzle and stands handling better. Paint and weather the mechanism and the crew seats before the final assembly, when they become harder to reach. The gun stands out beautifully in a diorama with crew figures and ammunition crates.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
