A resin figure set, D.A.K. Officer, in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Mantis Miniatures - an officer of the German Africa Corps for advanced modelers to finish by brush and set into a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of an officer of the German Africa Corps (D.A.K.) in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mantis Miniatures. The single figure is cast in resin and intended to be finished by brush and set into a desert diorama. Work with resin presupposes more advanced modeling skills.
The German Africa Corps (Deutsches Afrikakorps, D.A.K.) fought in North Africa from 1941 to 1943 under the command of Erwin Rommel. Its members wore tropical uniforms adapted to the desert climate. The officer figure suits the vehicles and scenes of the African campaign and comes out well in shades of faded khaki.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is practical to paint the figure before the final assembly; a primer, shaded layers of acrylic or oil paint and bringing out the face and the uniform with glazing and a dry brush all prove their worth.
The figures are supplied unpainted and cast in resin, intended to be glued and finished by brush. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
