An injection-molded plastic kit of the French light armored wheeled car VBL in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model offers a broken down lower and upper hull produced with multi-part mold technology, photo-etched parts and tires. The Panhard VBL is a wheeled off-road vehicle with drive to all four wheels, developed in the 1980s. It combines the mobility of a light liaison car with protection against small arms fire, splinters, mines and weapons of mass destruction. It entered service with the French army in 1990 and is used in a number of configurations for reconnaissance, liaison and anti-tank work.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the wheels separately, and fit the wheels only after the hull has been painted. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with super glue. Modern French vehicles carry either a plain or a camouflage scheme; after the base coat and the color, bring out the detail with a wash and add dust and light wear with pigments on the lower areas and the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
