The GAZ-AAA was a Soviet truck with 6x4 drive and three axles, derived from the two-axle GAZ-AA type. It served as a general-purpose truck of the Red Army and as a carrier for all kinds of bodies. The wartime Mod.1941 version was marked out by a simplified structure to save resources in time of war. It is precisely the three axles that set the GAZ-AAA apart from the basic two-axle GAZ-AA.
