Figures of the crew members of the Italian C1 Ariete main battle tank from the Royal Model brand. The castings are cut for contemporary equipment, not for Second World War subjects, and the clothing of the figures matches that.
The Ariete is an Italian main battle tank that came out of a consortium of the domestic engineering and armaments industry and reached the units in the second half of the 1990s. It carries a 120 mm smoothbore gun, multi-layer armor and a modern fire-control system; the crew consists of a commander, a gunner, a loader and a driver. The vehicle also appeared on overseas missions of the Italian army. The crews wear one-piece overalls and tank helmets with a communications set, a look markedly different from wartime uniforms.
Today's overalls have cooler and less contrasting shades than woolen uniforms, so mix the shadows by adding blue rather than black. Suggest the patches and lettering with a dot of paint and do not try to draw them out literally, as at this reduction they would look coarse. Bring out the helmet and the headphones with a dry brush and unify the whole with matte varnish, so that the glass of the visor stands apart as a single glossy point.
The package consists of the castings alone, with no surface finish; the tank, paints and glue are not in it.
