1:35 Tram Supports & Street Lamp

MiniArt 1:35 Tram Supports and Street Lamp

This set is a plastic diorama accessory from the Ukrainian manufacturer MiniArt in 1:35 scale - it is not a vehicle model but a scenic element. It holds injection-molded parts for the poles of tram overhead wiring and a street lamp, which complete a city street, a square or a tram line. The parts are molded in gray plastic with fine detail on the fittings and brackets.

What the accessory is for

The tall poles and the lamp give a scene a vertical dimension and a typical urban frame. The set suits Second World War scenes as well as civilian city dioramas - anywhere a street is to look inhabited and equipped with period infrastructure. The poles also help to lead the viewer's eye and frame the main motif of the scene, whether that is a passing vehicle, a tram or a group of figures on the sidewalk.

Building and painting tips

• Glue the parts with liquid plastic cement; on the tall poles let the joints dry well.
• Apply a primer before painting and set metal, cast iron and concrete apart.
• Rust, streaks and city grime come from washes and pigments.
• The glass of the lamp can be suggested with gloss varnish or tinted clear varnish.

Who the set is for

• Builders of urban and wartime dioramas in 1:35 scale.
• Vehicle modelers who want to set a vehicle in a faithful street.
• Makers of vignettes on a tram theme.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Vehicles, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package.
