Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic set of six prehistoric predatory Velociraptors in 1:35 scale from the Tamiya dinosaur diorama range. One package thus lets you build a whole pack. The parts make it possible to assemble each figure in a different position, every animal has its own base resembling rocky terrain, and spare hind limbs for further stance variants are included. The parts fit together even without glue, so the set is welcoming to less experienced modelers and still offers plenty of room for painting and diorama building.
Velociraptor was a small, slender and fast predatory dinosaur (a theropod) of the Late Cretaceous whose remains are found above all in the area of present-day Mongolia and China. It weighed roughly as much as a large dog and probably hunted skillfully and in groups. It is characterized by the large curved claw on the second toe of the hind foot, a long stiffened tail for balance and, according to current knowledge, a feathered body. In reality it was markedly smaller and lighter than films portray it.
Wash the parts before painting and apply a thin primer. Since you are building six pieces at once, it pays to choose a uniform color base and then set the individuals apart by tone, patterning or the intensity of wear. Bring out the skin and the hint of feathering with a dry brush and a dark wash in the folds. Unify the bases into a single scene and add sand, grit or grass so that the pack looks like a living tableau. Use the different poses and the spare limbs so that no two figures repeat each other.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
