A set of six turned brass barrels of 155 mm caliber in 1:350 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. This is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the plastic barrels of the secondary battery on models of the Japanese battleships Yamato and Musashi. The number of six pieces matches two triple turrets.
The secondary battery of the battleships Yamato and Musashi consisted of 155 mm guns in triple turrets. These guns originally came from the armament of Japanese heavy cruisers, and on the battleships they supplemented the 460 mm main battery against surface targets.
Turned barrels have a more faithful muzzle and take handling better. Cut the plastic barrels off, clean the openings in the turrets up, degrease the brass and fit them with super glue. Before painting, it is advisable to give the metal a coat of primer.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
