Without equipment, the flight deck of an aircraft carrier is an empty area that looks unfinished. Yet a whole range of ground equipment keeps it running: tractors for moving aircraft, carts, supports, barriers and other small gear. It is exactly these elements that give a finished model scale and action, because the viewer uses them to judge the size of the ship and of the aircraft at a glance. The set is intended for models of aircraft carriers in 1:350 scale from any manufacturer, but always dry-fit the parts first.
Leave the small parts on the sprues as long as you can, they are easier to handle and to paint that way. Spray the base coat with an airbrush and only then distinguish the individual machines with color and add the warning stripes. Picking out the engraved lines gently in a darker tone helps small parts a great deal, because in 1:350 they would otherwise merge into one mass. Lay out the arrangement on the deck dry first, so that space is left for taxiing, the way it looks on a real deck.
