Photo-etched ventilators for Japanese IJN ships 1:350 from Flyhawk hold 20 pieces of deck ventilators. It is a photo-etched accessory for raising detail, not a model of a ship.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the maker Flyhawk brings 20 pieces of deck ventilators for warships of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It is not a kit of a ship but a set of small photo-etched parts with which you replace the simplified or missing ventilators on a plastic model.
The decks of warships were dotted with mushroom and cowl ventilators, which brought air below deck. In 1:350 scale these features are very small and in plastic they are usually coarse; the photo-etched rendering is more delicate and once assembled it creates a more convincing silhouette for the deck superstructure.
Bend the parts in a photo-etch bender, assemble them into three-dimensional shapes and glue them with a small drop of super glue. Tweezers and magnification help. Once a base has been laid down, paint with an airbrush for fine shades.
The photo-etched accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
