The real subject

The A-4 Skyhawk is a light carrier-based attack aircraft of the US Navy. It came about as a deliberately small and simple machine: the short-span wing did not have to fold for stowage on board, which saved weight as well as mechanism. The type was built and modified for decades, so the early examples differ from the later ones in a number of details. The set therefore names the version expressly and is meant for the early form.

Building and painting tips

The parts are not of polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest away, so that you do not damage the edge. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, otherwise the paint will come off during handling.
