AIM-26B guided missiles, designated Rb 27 in Sweden, in 1:48 scale are made for arming a model of a fighter, most often the Saab 35 Draken.

This Reskit set brings air-to-air guided weapons AIM-26B in 1:48 scale. The count of two pieces is given in the name of the item. It is an arming accessory that the customer obtains for an aircraft built from another kit.
The AIM-26 came about as a substantially heavier relative of the better-known Falcon family. Against the slender AIM-4 it has a markedly thicker body and shorter, sturdier lifting surfaces, so the two missiles cannot be confused on a model even at a glance. The version marked with the letter B carried a conventional high-explosive warhead and was offered outside the United States as well, which opened its way to foreign users.
It was the Swedish Air Force that became the main foreign operator. The missile was built there under license under the designation Rb 27 and formed the radar-guided part of the armament of the fighter version of the Saab 35 Draken. The infrared Rb 28, derived from the AIM-4D, went with it. The pair in the package thus matches the usual load under the wing of this machine.
The thin surfaces will take only light sanding, or they will lose their profile. A light gray primer under the covering paint will help the final shade to sit exactly the same on both pieces.
